Veterinary Clinical Pathologist
William was awarded his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) from Murdoch University in 2009. After graduation, William practiced for approximately two years as a veterinary surgeon in small animal general practice in Western Australia, as well as some biomedical research work at the Australian Neuromuscular Research Institute at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. In 2012, William commenced three years of advanced training as a resident and DVSc candidate in Clinical Pathology at the Department of Pathobiology, Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Ontario, in Canada. There he also completed a research project looking at different microRNAs in blood of canine patients with multicentric lymphoma. He was awarded his Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) in June, 2015. William is now working as a Clinical Pathologist at IDEXX Laboratories in Adelaide. His areas of professional interest are haematopoietic tumours in small animals, bone marrow pathology, oncopathology and novel biomarker detection
