Luke graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 and has worked in cattle practice for over 9 years. After graduation he practiced in the New South Wales Hunter Valley and the English Lakes District. Since 2012, he has worked at the University of Sydney's Livestock Veterinary Service as a veterinary registrar. In 2013 Luke gained a membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Dairy Cattle Medicine
