Dr Glenn Marsh is a senior research scientist at AAHL and Team leader for the Dangerous pathogens team. His major research interests are focused on the pathogenesis of emerging infectious disease threats including henipaviruses, ebolaviruses, coronaviruses and influenza virus. His recent work has focused on the development of animal models to investigate key components of the disease process, this has included development of a ferret model for Ebola virus disease. The goal of the research is to understand the basis of the severe pathogenesis with these serious consequence zoonotic pathogens. A greater understanding the ability of these viruses to cause disease will lead to the development of vaccines and therapeutics
