Dr David Jenkins

I am a parasitologist working in the vet school at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW. I have a particular interest in zoonoses. My main focus is on Echinococcus granulosus. I have worked on this parasite in several parts of the world including Australia, concentrating on the importance of wildlife reservoirs. Interest in wildlife hosts has also led to a number of studies on the behaviour of dingoes and their hybrids in south eastern Australia. Most recently I have begun looking at the financial impact of E. granulosus on the Australian beef industry
