Moss Siddle

Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre
Principal Veterinary Surgeon
Olinda, Victoria
Dr Moss started working in outback Australia as a cattle and horse vet in 1992. He then worked in the UK for 3 years in various large and small animal practices before establishing Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in the beautiful eastern outskirts of Melbourne, Australia in 1999. With the advent of smartphones Dr Moss produced a pet care app in 2012 (VetCheck) which has over 10000 installations. Medechat (the telehealth platform Dr Moss produced in 2019) is how Dr Moss sees the future of veterinary medicine because it allows vets (and nurses) to work from home (or anywhere), anytime and potentially earn more than working in a bricks and mortar vet clinic. In April 2021 Dr Moss started a 24hr telephone and teletriage service (VetCheck 24/7 powered by Medechat) to help take the pressure off vets in practice. VetCheck 24/7 helps vets in over 60 practices across Australia and NZ get a better night's sleep. Moss is also the chair of the AVA Veterinary Business Group and always has an interest in the bigger picture opportunities and challenges facing our profession. In this role he is passionate about the VBG providing value and business support to members. In his limited spare time he is also the President of Wheelchair Sports for Kids (www.wsk.net.au) - a charity that provides fun, friendship and fitness to children using manual sports wheelchairs.
